1) Musicians from across metro-Detroit have donated their time and talent to making our community a better place. The CD contains 42 songs – including 17 new cuts – of original tracks and holiday favorites.
2) Nothing like this happens without the support of sponsors. More than a dozen organizations have stepped up to the plate as sponsors, including Harmonie Park, Sponsorship Solutions, Biggby Coffee, The Rossman Group, Andiamo, National Coney Island, Tubby’s, SVS Vision Optical Centers, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers IBEW Local 58, National Electrical Contractors Association of Southeastern Michigan and S.A.Y. Detroit.
3) CDs are $20, they can be purchased directly at any of National Coney Island's locations or can be downloaded or purchased by visiting www.ReverbNation.com/ChristmasInDetroit (our website, www.ChristmasInDetroit.org will be up and running in the next few days).
4) In this difficult economy, we can’t rely on politicians in Lansing or Washington to solve our problems. This is our chance, as a big-hearted community, to take care of our own. Even though times are tough right now for all of us, there is always someone who needs an extra hand.
5) Proceeds from CD sales will go to fund Mitch Albom’s amazing charity – S.A.Y. Detroit (Super All Year) – to help fight homelessness in Detroit, one individual and one project at a time.
6) The CD is a great gift idea – particularly for businesses that are looking for opportunities during the holidays to provide gifts to employees, clients and partners.
7) And, of course, we’d love folks to join our Facebook Fan Page or follow us on Twitter – we will provide updates, insider views of the CD creation, video and music.
